Last September, HAMAP-Humanitaire launched an appeal for donations to fund mosquito nets for refugee camps in Burkina Faso.
Indeed, malaria takes a heavy toll in Burkina Faso and is a major health problem. It is one of the 10 countries worst affected by the disease, which is the cause of 22% of deaths.
Thanks to your generosity, the Delwende centre in Sakoula, which houses women accused of witchcraft, has been equipped with treated cotton mosquito nets. The nets were handed out during an exploratory mission by HAMAP-Humanitaire's health unit.
