Born of a partnership between HAMAP-Humanitaire and the Burkinabe association ASD-B, the train-the-trainer project began in the summer of 2019!

The aim of this project is to improve the quality of basic education in Burkina Faso.

To that end, a pilot group of 30 people (teachers, education inspectors and head teachers) from 12 different schools in Ouagadougou and Dori is being trained in non-violent communication and innovative teaching methods by local experts. The training runs over a full year, allowing participants to acquire new teaching methods and to put them straight into practice during the year with their pupils.

The following two years will be devoted to supporting the pilot group as they in turn train the other teachers in their own schools.

In all, over three years, around 300 basic education professionals will be trained in these teaching methods and more than 5,000 pupils will benefit from the project!

This project is made possible by the financial support of private donors and funders
