In Haiti, HAMAP-Humanitaire continues to support the rehabilitation of the water network of the town of Saint-Marc, carried out by the Societe des Eaux de Saint-Marc (SESAM) thanks to the financial support of the Syndicat des Eaux d'Ile de France (SEDIF).
In the Charrette district the works are entirely finished: 1,370 linear metres have been laid, with 170 m of DN 63 pipe on one section and 1,200 m of DN 40 pipe across eleven sections. Based on field surveys and neighbourhood meetings, the resulting potential for connection to the public service in this area has been assessed at more than 500 people.
In a country where living conditions are particularly degraded, guaranteeing access to water and sanitation is a major issue. HAMAP-Humanitaire thanks all its partners for their resilience in carrying out this project: the town of Saint-Marc, OREPA Centre, SESAM, and SEDIF for its financial support.
