Ongoing
Rehabilitation of the Saint-Marc water network, phase 3
The project
THE CONTEXT
Economic, political and climate pressures combine to hold back Haiti's development: political instability, rising violence and heightened fragility. On water, despite abundant resources, weak public structures cannot supply the population reliably.
HAMAP-Humanitaire has worked in Saint-Marc alongside SESAM for close to ten years. This phase covers the rehabilitation and densification of the network in several further neighbourhoods, along with the protection of a reservoir and of the supply main that feeds the network.
