A new local office of HAMAP-Humanitaire opened in the Mauritanian capital, Nouakchott, with a team of 6 people. This local office will make it possible to manage the various HAMAP-Humanitaire projects in Mauritania:
A new mine clearance and explosive ordnance awareness project (EREE) has just begun in Mauritania. It will last 15 months and will benefit the entire population of the economic capital of Nouadhibou, and more broadly the population living in the Nouadhibou peninsula, about 140,000 people.
HAMAP-Humanitaire will also be responsible for strengthening the capacities of its local partner, the National Program for Humanitarian Demining and Development, the national body in charge of demining in Mauritania.
