End of water and sanitation project in Dabo, Senegal

The water and sanitation project in the commune of Dabo, in Casamance, is now coming to an end.

This project have allowed :

  • the connection to water of 109 households,
  • the construction of 6 sanitary blocks in the town’s schools,
  • the rehabilitation of the water distribution infrastructure, allowing neighborhoods in the town that had no access to water to benefit from the resource through standpipes and watering troughs for livestock.

The management system was guaranteed by an agreement between the management committee and the delegatee, both parties having received training in this regard.

This project was made possible thanks to the work of our local partner APIT Humanitaire, as well as the support of our donors: the Agence de l’Eau Artois-Picardie, the Agence de l’Eau Rhin Meuse, Ville de Paris, the Communauté d’Agglomération de Béthune Bruay Artois Lys Romane, the Conseil Départemental du Val de Marne et the Communauté d’Agglomération de Saint Omer.
