The project aims to construct a drinking water supply system to meet the needs of the beneficiary communities (Chindini, Dzahadjou, Midjendjeni, Ndzouani, Ouroveni, and Sima Ambouani) using water from a borehole drilled in 2017 by the French Development Agency. In addition, discussions with sectoral authorities led to the formalization of a shared management model between the National Water Supply and Distribution Company (SONEDE) and a professionalized community association. The project, which began in 2022, was completed with some delay in the first half of 2026 with the commissioning of the drinking water supply network and the launch of the related
