What is the WWF?<\/h2>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

\n

Founded in 1996, the World Water Council<\/a><\/strong> is the founder and co-organiser of the World Water Forum<\/a><\/strong> (WWF) and drives collective action during and between each Forum.<\/p>\n

The World Water Forum is the largest global event on water. It has been held every three years since 1997 by the World Water Council, in partnership with a host country. The 9th Forum is the first of its kind to be held in sub-Saharan Africa.<\/p>\n

By bringing together participants at every level and from every field, including politics, multilateral institutions, universities, civil society and the private sector, the World Water Forum offers a unique platform where the international water community and key decision-makers can work together and make long-term progress on global water challenges.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/section>\n

HAMAP-Humanitaire's participation<\/h2>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n

The World Water Council awarded its label to the drinking water supply project in Edjeda, Madagascar, led by HAMAP-Humanitaire, allowing it to be presented at the official session \u00ab Professionalising rural water services \u00bb<\/a><\/strong> at the WWF, on World Water Day.<\/p>\n

HAMAP-Humanitaire was thus able to showcase its project on setting up a public-private partnership to manage the commune's drinking water service.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/section>\n

On 19 March 2022, ahead of the World Water Forum in Dakar, the Syndicat des Eaux d'Ile de France<\/a><\/strong> and pS-Eau<\/a><\/strong> organised a seminar on the theme \u00ab Regulating water services in small centres and rural areas: what is at stake and what experience is there? \u00bb, where HAMAP-Humanitaire was able to speak.<\/p>\n

In the France Space, on 21 March, HAMAP-Humanitaire also took part in a side event, again organised by SEDIF, on the prerequisites and conditions for successful delegated management.<\/p>\n

The decentralised cooperation project between Ramonville Saint-Agne and Aplahoue in Benin<\/a><\/strong> was also presented at the session \u00ab Technological innovation for the development of sanitation and hygiene for rural development \u00bb.<\/p>\n

The Forum was also an opportunity to strengthen ties with our technical and financial partners, notably pS-Eau<\/a><\/strong>, Experts Solidaires<\/a><\/strong> and Aquassistance<\/a><\/strong>. HAMAP-Humanitaire thanks the local authorities and the representatives of the water agencies, local authorities, water boards and the AFD for the quality of the exchanges and for organising the forum.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/section>\n
