Drinking water supply and implementation of a public service delegation
Tanandava-Madagascar
The rural commune of Tanandava Station is located in the southwest of Madagascar in the Atsimo-Andrefana region. Although this commune is located on the banks of the Mangoky River, access to drinking water is lacking in this locality because the majority of the population uses and consumes unhealthy water from wells, particularly during the rainy season. The population is therefore prone to waterborne diseases, the leading cause of death in the world. Pregnant women and children are the most vulnerable to this situation.
