Creation and connection of a drinking water service for a pilot district
Commune de Petite Rivière de l’Artibonite –
Haïti
Petite Rivière de l’Artibonite is a commune of about 40,000 inhabitants. Its water system, created in the 1960s for a town of 5,000 inhabitants, relies on the supply of a spring that is now dry. For years, the city has faced an emergency and has been transporting water from larger cities to feed its residents. As the population continues to grow, local authorities want to create a new water system from a water borehole at the entrance to the city.
