Assistance in project management - decentralized cooperation between the Rennais Basin Water Authority and Beitunia to improve access to drinking water
Beitunia – Palestine
The water network in Beitunia was mostly built before 1990. The network is dilapidated: the percentage of water leaks in the network is around 30% and these are not clearly accounted for, the pressure is insufficient on some sections, and water cuts are regular. The Collectivité Eau du Bassin Rennais and the Municipality of Beitunia initiated in 2015 a cooperation to strengthen the access to drinking water of the population of Beitunia through the realization of priority works on the network and the strengthening of the capacities of the Municipality to deliver an improved public water service.
