Awareness of waste sorting and collection
Guédiawaye – Dakar Senegal
Guédiawaye is a group of communes located 13 km from Dakar. A veritable “human anthill” with a population of more than 300,000 inhabitants, the 5 beneficiary communes suffer from a wide range of hygiene problems, mainly due to a high concentration of waste that has a direct impact on the health of the population. This project proposes to contribute to the improvement of the living conditions of the populations of this suburb of Dakar, via an awareness campaign of better hygiene practices and the development of waste management infrastructure already initiated by the local public authorities.
